TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

St. Dwynwen – Your Spiritual Cord Blood

No believer can claim to accept God if he thinks only of himself. For love is not an individual effort, but requires all of us to progress as one body of Christ. As the bible reads:

"So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another." - Romans 12:5

There is no denying the spiritual threads that bind us all together, like a cord blood connection to the divine redeemer. When he formed us in the womb, we were already called to share in his eternal joy.

Whilst our angels & guardians work to provide us with what is necessary to draw closer to the light of Christ, it is ultimately our decision to accept Him and to follow in His path of righteousness. Let us never sever the connection and to uphold the promises of God in our lives.

Today St. Dwynwen reminds us that we are one in the body of Christ, and we must never let negativity, greed or temptations from the evil one tear us apart. Renew your spiritual cord in faith daily to be aligned with His promises.

Saved By The Blood of Christ

Do you sometimes feel like you are facing the world alone and lost amidst a sea of choices? When we rely only upon our limited consciousness and intuition, we often find ourselves feeling disconnected. The truth is that you have been called to be part of something bigger, better and eternal.

Every one of God’s children does not journey through life alone for we are all bound by the blood of Christ who saved us from damnation with His ultimate sacrifice. Always remember that you are part of a larger community in Christ – those who come together in faith, the communion of saints and in Christ himself.

Fellowship & community is God’s great desire for us. As we mature in our faith we also grow our relationships with others and in God. This means that we are also responsible for our fellow brothers & sisters. When we see those who are struggling we will lift them up offering encouragement, support and kindness as is required.

"Let us be concerned for each other, to stir a response in love and good works. Do not absent yourself from your own assemblies, as some do, but encourage each other; the more so as you see the Day drawing near." - Hebrews 10:24–25

Being part of His flock means that we also have to make contributions to the community! Every one of us is capable of inspiring the change that we desire. Let us all strive to build a thriving community of God’s faithful that is fun, nurtures love and filled with Holy Spirit.

Donating To Save Others

It is almost impossible to fully quantify the impact that one good deed can have on another. Every action that we put out in kindness & charity creates a ripple effect that is capable of moving mountains. We should never overlook our contributions no matter how small they may seem.

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
- Matthew 5:14-16

Jesus is the light of the world and His faithful shall never walk in darkness. We too are reflections of His light and to illuminate the dark for those that are in need of our aid.

Remove Cancerous Cells From The Body

Just as we are bound by the spiritual cord blood to Christ who formed us, gave us life, and continually sustains us with His graces, we are also part of His community here on earth.

Think of the battle against cancer, even after successfully overcoming the biggest hurdle those cancer cells remain dormant waiting for an opportune moment to strike. In a similar way the Devil works in cunning ways with his eyes set on those especially close to God. It is only through the blood of Christ can we find complete healing and restoration.

As one body we shall work to eliminate all traces of the wicked one from God’s kingdom. We are called to support one another in our moments of weakness and intercede on behalf of others. Whilst the treat of sin constantly lurks close by, St Dwynwen reminds that when we steel our faith and work together in unison and clarity, we shall overcome all in the name of God.
