Don't Accept These Gifts That Are Sent By The Devil!

Do Not Be Overly Prideful of Achievements and Success

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
- John 10:10

My child, every experience in life, every success, every moment of joy, is a gift, a blessing that we must recognize. It is all too easy to get swept up in the moment, to let the ecstasy of achievement and success lure us into forgetting the ultimate source of all gifts.

All good things come from above, from the divine Creator. Yet the devil often hides traps in these gifts, waiting for us to stumble, to become ensnared in our pride and arrogance.

In our victories and achievements, the devil weaves a web of self-indulgence and pride. He lures us into a false sense of complacency and self-satisfaction, tempting us to forget the divine hand that guides us. Today is a message of dire warning my child, to never be swept away in the dangerous labyrinth of pride and arrogance that we often lose sight of God’s divine plan for us.

God is The Source of All Wealth & Achievement

Do not be deceived, beloved one. The enemy is cunning and will make you believe you are standing at the top of the world whilst waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Achievements and wealth are often used in the devil’s flurry of temptations to separate us from God’s love.

Remember the time when Jesus was “tempted” by the devil in the desert? The adversary waited till Christ had fasted for forty days and forty nights and in His most vulnerable state to strike. There he tried to offer Christ the promises of wealth and power. He promised Him authority over all the kingdoms of the world if He but submitted to His evil will.

You see that the evil one often uses glory, wealth and power to mislead people from the path of God. When you experienced small wins in life, never let such things get to your head and think that you are better off on your own. True happiness and fulfilment of the soul can only be found through the Lord.

The sin of pride blinds us to the workings of God and makes us susceptible to the devil’s ploys. It makes us forget that every good and perfect gift is from above, our Heavenly Father whose promises are everlasting amidst the test of time.

Dangers of Excessive Pride and Arrogance

Dear child of light, in the euphoria of success, do not let pride inflate your ego to the point of bursting. Pride blinds us to our shortcomings. It makes us forget that our achievements are not solely our own but are gifts from God. It stunts personal growth and hinders the development of our relationships.

Arrogance is a vice that fuels discord. It builds walls where bridges should exist, causing disharmony and alienation. A proud heart breeds conflict and resentment, distancing us from our loved ones, and worse, from our Creator.

Cultivating Humility and Reverence

Despite our achievements and successes we must always remain grounded and cultivate humility and reverence for the Lord. In doing so, we guarantee our divine rewards that are eternal.

Consider the analogy of a tree. The taller it grows, the deeper its roots reach into the earth. In the face of our achievements and successes, we too must spread our foundations deeper in the Lord and remain grounded, recognizing the source of our blessings and keeping our pride in check.

Arrogance makes us believe we are self-sufficient, self-made, but humility reminds us that we are but instruments in the hands of God. Only by humbling ourselves before Him, recognizing our dependence on Him, can we hope to achieve true happiness, lasting success.

In the face of success, remember to say, “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness” (Psalm 115:1). Let us not become a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal, empty and hollow with the noise of our own self-importance. Instead let us be a melodious harp, playing a hymn of gratitude to the Lord for His countless blessings.

Dearest one, do not let the allure of success, the lure of achievements make you forget the source of all blessings. Do not let pride and arrogance blind you to the divine hand that guides your path. Let us remain humble, acknowledging our dependence on God, and let His divine light guide our path to true happiness and everlasting success.
