The laborers in the field who bring good news are few. They are going through the highways and hedges to compel people to come to the kingdom of God.
Many people think that faith is a personal thing that should be kept for ourselves. Yet the divine message is repeated time and time again in the bible is the importance of community. Even in his short time on earth, Jesus sought to build a “core team” of disciples who continued to spread his word to all the regions of the world longer after he ascended into Heaven.
Similar to the concept that no man is an island, God’s kingdom cannot be built on simply individualistic faith. God’s love is something to be cherished, but more importantly – to be shared with others. Just like love holds no significant meaning it is reserved only for yourself, it must be shared and received to fulfil its purpose.
Today’s devotional is a reminder that by sharing the seeds of faith with others, yours too will be multiplied. And God will be pleased with your efforts.
As a child of God, your job is not to judge or figure out if someone deserves something. You have been called to find and restore those who are lost and broken. You are part of the body of Christ, and sowing seeds into a ministry that will open the doors for them to salvation. Let others be inspired by your actions.
Invest your time, efforts, and prayers into anything that will glorify God in your life, and make sure you share it with others! It reflects your love and trust in Him.
Sow the seeds with joy and faith because, no matter how big or small it is, you will reap miracles through it.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2 Corinthians 9:10
