TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

God Fulfils All His Promises, Even if He Does Not Give Us Everything We Want.

He Will Lead Us Along the Path to Salvation.

We live in a world that cannot wait. Everybody is always after the next thing and then the next. Every 7 seconds a new technology is being developed, and the world spins all the faster for it. Keeping up with the jones’ makes us compare what we have with others and instantly we conclude theirs is better, faster, newer, shinier, and prettier and automatically it seems that what we have looks less and feels less.

We chase after the next and they skip to the next and we haven’t noticed how we are already swallowed into a cyclone of meaninglessness. In this pursuit, we often sacrifice relationships, values, and integrity simply because we cannot wait.

Joshua 21:45
Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.

He Will Make Straight Our Paths.

We cannot stand watching a buffering video — we need instant gratification! We cannot wait on the promises of God and we automatically conclude that God doesn’t love us because He delays or is not even listening. But what if God is still processing us to make sure that the promise does not destroy us? What if the delays and detours protect us from the disasters up ahead?

Delays are always better than disasters. Learn to wait and enjoy the process. You will appreciate the promise better as you trust the LORD along the way.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths.

Today’s Prayer:

Father, I thank You for You hold my life in Your hand. Teach me, Lord, to wait upon You and to trust that You will hold true to your promises. Help me endure the season of delays and detours and trust You are leading me to life!
