We all get lost sometimes, and it is in those uncontrollable situations that we have a significant — often life-changing — encounter with God. God will always be sovereign. This means that He is always in control. It is very comforting to know that He is already where we are and even wherever we will be tomorrow.
2 Corinthians 5:7
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
We don’t intend to be in difficult situations; we plan and ideally pursue these plans, but things can still go wrong as we do not have the ability to totally foresee everything. The foreseeing is of the LORD and we ought to trust that He intends the best for us. We trust that even the ugliest of situations are intended to grow and strengthen us.
God would even use our mistakes and bad decisions to make us wiser, our struggles to make us stronger, and our pain to propel us to the person He intends us to be. Surely, the situation might not be the most ideal condition you hope to be in, but trust that when times are dark, God doesn’t sleep.
No matter where you are today, there is growing through whatever you are going through. There is a purpose to your pain and there is progress in the process.
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ
Today’s Prayer:
Father, my hope is in You; not in my strengths and abilities, not in my skill and wealth or the circumstance at hand, but in You. You know the end from the beginning and we place my future in Your hands. May I find favor as I wholeheartedly trust You and rest all my efforts in Your love for me. Amen.
