Your Message From Christ:

Do Not Be Pained, Instead Rejoice in the Salvation

crosssalvation

The cross of Christ is one of the most profound symbols in our faith. It reminds us of the incredible sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf. His suffering and death were real, intense, and filled with unimaginable pain. But as believers, we are not called to dwell on that pain alone. We are invited to look beyond the suffering and see the joy that emerged from itthe joy of our salvation. The cross is not just a symbol of suffering but of victory and hope. Christ’s sacrifice was not the end; it was the beginning of eternal life for all who believe.

The Cross is Victory, Not Defeat ✝️

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” // John 16:33

When we reflect on Christ’s crucifixion, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the suffering He endured. The pain, the betrayal, the abandonment—these are parts of His story that can weigh heavily on our hearts. But the story of the cross doesn’t end in pain. It culminates in victory. Jesus tells us that although we will face difficulties in this life, we are not to be discouraged because He has overcome the world.

The cross was never a defeat. It was, and is, the ultimate triumph of love over sin, light over darkness and life over death. We are called to rejoice in this victory because, through it we have been set free. Jesus’ suffering was temporary but the salvation He won for us is eternal. When you look upon the beloved cross, see not the agony but the love that conquered death and opened the gates of heaven for all of us.

Christ’s Sacrifice: A Call to Rejoice

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” // 1 Peter 1:8-9

The crucifixion was a painful process, but its purpose was not to leave us burdened by sorrow. God calls us to rejoice in the outcome of Christ’s sacrifice—the salvation of our souls. The cross is not an invitation to wallow in grief, but a beacon of hope, pointing us to the resurrection and the promise of eternal life. Because of Jesus, death is no longer the end. His sacrifice ensured that we can stand redeemed before God, our sins forgiven, and our eternity secured.

This doesn’t mean we dismiss the suffering of Christ. Rather, we honor it by understanding its purpose. It was His love for us that led Him to the cross, and it was His victory over death that leads us to salvation. The cross calls us to gratitude, to lift our eyes beyond the pain and see the profound love that God has for us. Because of His sacrifice, we no longer live under the weight of sin. Instead, we live in the light of His grace.

Forgiveness and New Life Through the Cross

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” // Colossians 1:13-14

At the heart of Christ’s sacrifice is the incredible gift of forgiveness. Through His death, Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins, cleansing us and restoring our relationship with God. This is the joy that we are called to focus on—the joy of being forgiven, redeemed, and made new.

When we meditate on the cross, we should not be consumed by guilt or shame. Instead we should be filled with awe at the magnitude of God’s LOVE for us. We are forgiven. We are free. Christ’s suffering has given us a new life. This is a cause for great celebration. No matter what burdens you carry, they have been lifted by the cross. No matter how deep your sin, it has been washed away by the blood of Jesus. Rejoice in this truth for it is the heart of the Gospel. The cross was not the end—it was the beginning of our redemption.

Rejoice in the Light of the Resurrection

“Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.” // Romans 6:8-9

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate proof of our salvation. Death has been defeated and we too are promised eternal life. The cross is not just a symbol of suffering—it is a symbol of resurrection, new life, and hope that cannot be extinguished. Because of Christ, death no longer has the final say. We are alive in Him, and we will live with Him forever.

The resurrection is God’s declaration that suffering, pain, and death are temporary, but the life we have in Christ is eternal. So lift your heart in joy and hope. Yes, Christ suffered. But He also rose from the grave, victorious and alive forevermore. So rejoice! Rejoice in the love of Christ. Rejoice in the victory of the cross! And rejoice in the eternal life that awaits you in His kingdom.
