A Prayer to Receive The Holy Spirit

Dear Father in Heaven,

When You ascended, You promised that You would send Your Holy Spirit down among us.

I stand before you today, to pray for your anointing and to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit.

I completely surrender myself to You.

Have Your way and come do as You wish.

Overshadow, and envelop, my hopeless situation, my dead hopes, dreams, and visions.

Shatter every chains, bondage, and strongholds.

For I know through the Holy Spirit I am completely free, born again,
and transformed by my renewed mind because I have already learned the truth.

Take hold of my frailty and empower me to overcome every challenge that I face.

Console and restore me.

And bring the fruits of the Spirit such as love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control so that I may glorify You.

Lord, You know the longings and the desires of my heart.

So, through the Holy Spirit, enable me to pray Your perfect will
especially in times where I do not know what to pray.

Let Your me pray with words that flows like a river.

And let me express myself limitlessly.

Let every proceeding of my lips become pure, with grace, and full of power.

I am grateful and honored with this great inheritance You bestowed.

For it is no longer I who speaks but Your Spirit that lives within and controls me.

Without a doubt, I am no longer alone.

And greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.

Reveal Your mysteries, secrets, and bring light to every darkness that is within me.

Lift every record of victories and what God has done for me.

Divine intelligence, petition in the heavenly courts on my behalf.

And In Jesus’ name, I pray,
