A Prayer to St. Vincent de Paul

Dear St. Vincent de Paul,

You, who is the patron saint of charities and of good works in the name of God.

Help me to be more like you and follow your path by being charitable and practice self-sacrifice.

Help me to relinquish my desire to accumulate material things just for my benefit,

But focus my efforts on aiding and ministering to the poor and desolate.

Attune me to their needs that will cater to their mind, body, and spirit.

Inspire me to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give drink to the thirsty.

May I resist from judging them on their circumstances,
because I do not know what God has allowed them to endure from their experience.

May I remember His words that how I treat others is also the same as how I treat Him.

I pray for those who are sick that they may be provided with relief.

I pray for comfort for those who are alone, depressed, and in misery.

And I pray for grace for the sinners to be redeemed.

Give me the heart where kindness and generosity flow to offer hope all over the earth.

Bless my days to be of your service and open myself as God drops the bag of His providence.

I pray for your blessing and strength to partner with donors and volunteers

For they will be my aide in this honorable task.

May we have the genuine feeling of dedication and zeal to help.

And may we be all united to perform all the actions to meet the need of the others.

Grant these desires and make me an instrument of love through you, St. Vincent de Paul,

And in Jesus’ name, I pray,
