A Prayer for the Future Generations

Dear Father in heaven,

the eternal foe has been targeting children since the start of time.

Children who are young, vulnerable and easily influenced by temptations.

I pray with all my heart that you will will protect the youth of our time.

Take hold of this the young generation and make them rooted in faith, grounded in Your love.

Set Your spirit on fire to dwell in this current generation.

Do not let complacency triumph, but let them train these future generations.

Do not let them shake their heads, but let them teach Your righteousness.

It is because You have so much greatness in store for these people.

You love these people, so do not let go of their hands because you have promised them a future.

Plans to prosper them and not to harm them.

Plans to give them hope and a good future.

We know in the last days perilous times will come.

For people will be lovers of themselves and money, boastful and proud,
disobedient to parents, ungrateful and unholy.

These people will be without love, unforgiving, and slanderous.

They do not have self-control, brutal, traitor, lovers of pleasure more than being lovers of God.

But remember You have died for these people.

Give them mercy and show them the way to salvation.

Reveal to them Yourself.

Let them know You and how much they mean to You.

For Your sake, let them serve and glorify You.

Because we know we can trust You and Your kingdom is the one that will prevail.
