A Prayer to Cherish What We Have Now

Dear Father in Heaven,

I pray for relief and rest.

I pray for joy and gladness.

I pray for contentment to wash over me.

And I pray I will appreciate what I have now
than to look for something I do not have or something I am not.

I pray I am at peace, for You are my source, and You will never abandon me.

My flesh desires more, but please do not let it tempt me.

Do not let it tempt me to covet more than what I can handle.

And let me desire heavenly treasures because it will last forever.

Contentment is not a reason to just stay the way I am or stay in the state that I am in.

But you know, Lord, that I have desires in mind, dreams to achieve, and visions to fulfil.

So, help me attain it step by step, in the right place, at the right time,
and according to Your will in my life.

Lord, You have made me unique and different.

Therefore, remind me to not compare myself or copy other people’s identity.

Give me the grace to be kind to myself and imitate You instead.

Let me focus on You and Your ministry because I know You will meet all my needs.

I know I will lack nothing if I am within Your glorious presence.

You are dependable and reliable.

I rejoice in You, for You are my great reward, and I am forever blessed.
