May my entire existence be consumed in Your service, so that through my humble efforts, many will come to know Your love and find their way to You.

My Lord and my God,
thank you for drawing me to yourself.
Graciously incline your ear to me
as I seek you with all my heart.
Stir within me a deeper longing
for the wisdom that leads to eternal life.
Lord you have declared that the pure in heart shall see God,
those whose hearts are unencumbered by the idols of this world.
the single-minded who do not try to serve two masters,
who have no other gods but you.
Keep the burning of my desire for you
as clear and steady as the flame of a candle
– a single, undivided focus of attention,
a steady offering of the will.
Fill my entire being with your radiant light,
so that I may draw others to your divine presence.
Let my whole being be cleansed
by the flame of your love
from all that is contrary to your will for me,
from all that keeps others from coming to you.
Let my whole being be consumed in your service,
so that others may know your love,
my Lord and my God.
