TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Salvation is Received Through Believing in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross

How long will you keep repenting for the sins that you have already been forgiven? When will you stop replacing those mistakes with good works just to be acquitted?

Jesus, who is blameless and knew no sin, became a sacrificial lamb to die on your behalf. He was crucified on the Cross to pay for your sins and saved you from eternal condemnation.

By believing it is finished, your debt is finally over and forever dealt with, including your past, present, and future sins. It is done and sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ. You are already bought at a price!

You are still being made pure and holy in His sight. It does not mean you can freely do what you want and rely on His salvation, for it is hypocrisy. Reflect His salvation. Offer yourself as a living sacrifice, and put on your new self.

Romans 3:23-25 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement through the shedding of His blood – to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate righteousness because in His forbearance He had left the sins beforehand unpunished.

Colossians 3:8-10 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for graciously sending Your Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for my salvation. It is finished that no one can ever separate me from Your love – neither my past nor future trespasses, troubles nor calamities, angels nor demons, or any other creations. From this day forward, I will choose to walk in righteousness because I am already Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen.
