Right where you find yourself planted or situated is where God allowed you to be. There is nothing you have done in your strength to achieve what you currently possess in this world, not even your salvation.
God led you through the darkness and the pit of your situation into His marvelous light. He has fed you when you were hungry and thirsty and clothe you when what you wore has worn out. It was Him who has and will bless you with profitable ideas, fine homes, and multiple streams of income to fulfill the covenant He promised to your ancestors. He has given you the power to be successful.
Do not become proud of what you have become and forget the Lord for all the trials He has led you through. The miracles He performed have led you to victory, so do not worship your accomplishments and even money. You may not want to lose your blessings, so humble yourself for what He gives, He also takes away.
Establish a foundation of love, mercy, and humility by continually laying your heart before God. He is worthy of receiving all the honor and glory that you are experiencing right now.
1 Peter 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
John 3:30 He must become greater; I must become less.
Today’s Devotional
Heavenly Father, I recognize that everything I have been and will be blessed comes from You and none other. All my worship, praise, and adoration are for you because I am nothing without You. Remind me to humble myself and not take pride because I am not better than anyone. I pray you will be pleased and be delighted with me. I am forever grateful for your grace and favor. In Jesus’ name, amen.
