A Prayer to St. Benedict

“I beseech thee, Saint Benedict to guard me in all areas of my life.

Deliver me from the snares of the devil, as you have so often done.

For you art thou the great protector, walk amongst me in my daily endeavours.

Deliver me from my enemies, and the forces of evil that seek to harm.

Let no darkness draw near my dwelling, nor malicious darts find their mark.

But pour forth your divine blessings & intercession, upon which I place my utmost confidence.

Through your divine intercession may we be protected from all sin, vice and temptation from the evil one.

Lead my thoughts and actions, that I may never go astray, but bring me closer to God with every passing day.
