Prayer for a Friend in Need

Dear Father in Heaven,

Today I come to you not just for my personal needs, but also to request graces upon someone I hold dear.

Just as you have saved me in your mercy, I too wish for your blessings upon my dearest friend:

Allow my friend to walk out of this crisis that has come at a wrong time.

My heart pains to see my friend in this misery – but I feel helpless.

However, I have you, so I am strong.

Do draw my friend in close to you – extend your hand of love as you shelter us from this storm.

And grant me the strength to be a pillar of support for my friend in the rough times.

Allow me to be a true Christian and to show how mighty your love can be.
