A Prayer for Persistence

Dear Father in Heaven,

Everyday I wake up and thank you for this brand new day.

Fresh opportunities and challenges abound as I welcome this day with grace.

I pray that I will walk a path worth of You today.

Allow me to be a faithful witness in thought, word and deed,

and I shall continue to demonstrate a Christ-like attitude to all I meet.

Help me keep my heart focused on you, oh Lord,

and excel in my endeavours through the power of the Holy Spirit.

May I always strive to be a reflection of the truth in the gospel of grace,

and possess the strength to press on towards my goals in faith.

In Jesus’ name I pray,
