A Prayer to Believe in Miracles

Dear Father in Heaven,

You are worthy of all praise and honor.

You remain true to Your Word.

You never change.

Father I come to you with an open and contrite heart,
And I know that you will not despise me, my God.

Father, I struggle in believing that miracles can happen and that You can make it happen.

My thoughts are confused when I am confronted with the questions I have in life.

My heart is troubled when I am in doubt and filled with bitterness.

My soul is wearied when reality takes a heavy toll on my being.

And when I am in these murky moments, Father, I struggle to see Your hand.

I struggle to understand what You are doing in the background.

But You oh Lord is slow to anger and quick to listen,
I know You understand me Father, since You have created my innermost being.

You recognize my confusions and have understood my struggle and cries.

But Father, I praise You with all my being!

Your Word is a lamp on my feet and a light to my path.

Your Word is a Miracle!

Who am I, a mere mortal that You would reveal Your Holy Word and promises.

Father forgive me for I take Your Word lightly.

By your grace,
may I see and understand through faith that You are doing miracles in my life every day.

And by leaning onto Your Word daily, despite the struggle I have to believe,

You are working tirelessly on my behalf.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,
