St. Michael – Heavenly Power Supply

God is the source of all power in and beyond the universe. Whenever we pray, he hears and supplies unto us whatever we ask of him. When you face the darkness in life, you should not be afraid because you are a child of the light, and your creator is the power source.

Sometimes we worry too much about the things we have no control over. When the devil pushes us into a dark pit, we shiver in fear and begin doubting the power of our creator. If God created the entire universe by word of mouth, trust that coming to your rescue is something that he will indeed do.

Saint Michael is coming to inform us that we need to trust in God. When things seem to be going haywire, let us learn to wait upon him without worry for he has promised to come to our aid. Even though his appearance seems delayed, at the right time, he will surely come.

His power is beyond our understanding. If only we knew how much power our God has, we would never be worried about anything. We would trust in his plans for us and allow him to take control.

The Flame of Love

It is easier to tell someone, “I love you,” but what does that mean? In the world that we are living in, you may often hear that phrase more times than often, or you could be using it regularly. Today some questions are being posed to us concerning lighting the flame of love;

  • If you did something wrong, can you be honest to the person you love knowing that it will hurt them?
  • If you acquired something that you needed for a long time and the person you love wanted it, would you give it to them, considering that you may never get it again?
  • Would you get in danger to save the person you love just in case they are attacked, considering the fact that you could get hurt or lose your life in the process?
  • If the person you love does something to offend and hurt you, would you overlook their mistakes, forgive and give them another chance?

Saint Michael is reminding us that love is more than mere feelings. Sometimes we tend to get confused between lust and love. While lust lights up a flame, it does not last long, while on the other hand, the flame of love is eternal.

In 1st Corinthians 13:4-7, the bible reminds us that love is kind, patient, not proud, does not boast, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, it rejoices with the truth, it does not delight in evil, it protects, hopes and always perseveres.

Light in The Darkness

Many people in the world are battling different issues, such as depression. They may be living with or around us, and we may think they are alright just because they are smiling. Sometimes they resort to silence, and we may cut ties with them just because we cannot stand them anymore.

We fail to recognize them until they commit suicide, and we are left wondering why they would do such a thing. We may blame them for their decision, but the reality is that they were living in the dark, yet we could not be kind enough to share the light within us. Their silence was just a cry for our light which we could not hear.

Supply the Power of Love

When people hurt us, we often tend to be bitter towards them and even go to the extent of seeking revenge. Due to our human nature, it is easier for us to supply hatred than love. We find it very difficult to forgive people who have hurt us, and we even come up with lame excuses as to why our reactions are justified, yet when we sin, we expect God to forgive us when we repent.

In the man-eat-man society that we are living in, it is magical to be different and spread love. In a world that views love as a weakness, there is a calling to be different and share love.

Saint Michael is informing us today that there is power in supplying love. God is the power source, and being love itself, he urges us to love others as we love ourselves. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins to restore the relationship with humanity. Just as he has given us love, we ought to supply it to others. When we accept to be vessels of supplying his love to the world, he will supply unto us with more love and blessings from his heavenly source.

Prayer to Saint Michael

“Dear Saint Michael, thank you for your message of hope in my life.

I pray that you may help me have the heart to light the flame of love to those in the dark and make them feel the power of Christ in heaven.

I trust that I may learn to trust in God and recognize the immense supply of his heavenly blessings in my life.

St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us”

Amen.
