It’s that time of the year again when we’re bombarded with a flurry of deals, offers and promotions throughout the day. Whilst we have certainly worked hard to rightfully enjoy the pleasures of life, let us not forget the spirit of Thanksgiving on this very day.
St. Faustina is the patron saint of gratitude who serves as a constant reminder to be grateful for the tiny miracles we have in our lives. She is well known for continually giving thanks to the Lord for the “little daily crosses” that she bore & experienced.
Prayer for Gratitude in the Morning
My Lord, my God, source of all goodness & kindness,
Just as surely as the eternal dawn rises, so too shall I sing your praises.
I thank you for the seeds of love that you have scattered across my life,
I thank you for the love that you have shown to me through the people that I have around me.
I thank you for your mercies and promises.
And most of all, I thank you for your the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ.
That we might be saved despite our flaws.
Let me remember your blessings throughout the day.
Let me glorify your name & works and keep the spirit of gratitude in my heart.
Prayer for Unshakeable Faith
Dear Lord, in your hands I place my unshakeable faith.
My heart is full of awe & thanksgiving for your goodness.
Though struggles and tribulations may come my way,
I shall plant my feet firmly in the ground, and stand tall with your grace.
In your sacred heart I place all my plans and dreams,
In your mercy I seek your solace & healing.
Quiet my doubts & weaknesses.
But know that you are in full control.
For your plans for me can only be for prosperity.
For you are the divine protector.
You alone will provide for my needs and wants.
You strengthen me in times of unrest.
There is none like you.
Your love & your grace are enough for me.
This I pray in the precious name of Christ,
Prayer for Joy & Strength
Dear Father in Heaven, you are my refuge & shelter.
Therefore, I pray You will release Your supernatural joy and strength.
Release Your spirit of unspeakable gladness.
So that when I grow tired and weary, I will have the strength because You have already provided.
Let me praise You and worship.
And break off this chain of great heaviness.
So that I will rise and enjoy in Your presence.
Produce in me a new life and result it in great harvest.
And let the works of my hands not die but flourish.
Remind me to always seek You.
And let me wear the helmet of salvation.
For this struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against all the evil authorities and forces.
Let me be encouraged as I go forth.
And let Your joy be my strength as I head out and face these people.
Nothing will steal my joy, for it is rooted and grounded in You.
And let me not grieve because I will rejoice in You.
Let the sun be brighter, air be clearer, and myself to feel better.
Raise my spirits and bring vitality into my life.
Fill me with Your Spirit and let me long for Your goodness.
In Your Holy name I pray,
