TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

St. Nicholas – Seek God’s Presence Continually & Thoroughly Research His Works. Your Spiritual Enlightenment Is Well At Hand.

The path to spiritual growth can be a winding one, but with the help of our Lord and the guidance of His word, we can walk it with confidence. As the patron saint of learning and generosity, the message today is a call to grow in faith.

One must never become complacent and remain stagnated in the ways of the Lord. Though the Church holds true to the teachings of Christ and his principles, we as God’s children must also evolve to keep up with the times. We are called to find a place for God in the modern world, and to manifest His teachings into our lives.

The Correlation Between His Word & Your Faith

Those who seek the Lord must know His works. The correlation between growing in the word and growing closer to God is clear. As we study His word, we come to understand His character and His will for our lives.

We begin to see the world through His eyes and our hearts are transformed. The questions we ask as we study His word are crucial to our growth. They lead us to a deeper understanding of who God is and how He wants us to live.

Jesus said to him, “‘If you can!’ Everything is possible to one who has faith.” Then the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe, help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:23-34

If we claim to love the Lord, then we must make every effort to know Him better. For one cannot claim to love another wholeheartedly if you did not understand the extend of the person’s nature.

Jesus will honor our request and efforts to grow closer to Him. There is a reason why the bible is regarded as one of the greatest treasures of all time, and that is simply because it contains the guiding Word of the Lord which holds the keys to His kingdom.

Promoting Spiritual Growth By Asking The Right Questions

Dear one, it is normal to harbor doubts in your mind from time to time. From the constant search for the glory of God, our faith is made stronger and our hearts more pure.

Asking the right questions in our research is critical. Some people shy away from hard questions for fear that it makes them look “rebellious”, but as the divine teacher & guide, Jesus wants us to examine our faith thoroughly that we might grow stronger.

Today I am here to let you know that as much as you are committed to researching about God, the reality is that God has your whole life figured out. He knows of your talents and abilities hence he is certain of the amazing results you are capable of delivering in regards to achieving your mission on earth.

He loves you beyond measure and he will definitely come to you at your greatest need and align your goals to your expectations. I am encouraging you to have your faith in the power of God and if you are yet to experience its impact in your life, be patient about it.

Take A Survey Of Your Own Spiritual Life

Today is a great time to take a survey of your own spiritual life and see where you may need to grow. Always be open to asking questions as you study His word and seek to understand His will for your life.

Remember that God’s people may have simple desires but we are not “simple-minded”. Whilst non-believers may think you to be naïve for following God, we must never neglect the pursuit for wisdom and knowledge of the divine.

As you survey your life in areas of spiritual growth, it’s important to be honest with yourself. Take time to reflect on your journey and the many blessings that God has bestowed upon you. Always remember that our growth in the Lord is a lifelong journey so do not be discouraged if you are strong in some areas and weak in others.

As we grow spiritually closer to God, we find that our lives are filled with blessings beyond measure. We are able to see the world through His eyes, and our hearts are transformed. We become more like Him, and we find true joy and peace in our lives. So my dear friends, let us press on in our spiritual growth, drawing ever closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Let Us Pray

"Almighty father, I implore you to turn your eyes upon your child. Help me to deepen my relationship in the Lord and to apply his teachings in my life. Help me to see my faults, to seek forgiveness and become a better version of myself each day. That I may be purified and made worthy of God's love. We hope to intensify our spirituality in you so that we can be near you at all times."

Dear St. Nicholas, obtain for us from our Lord the graces and help that we need in our spiritual and temporal necessities.

Amen 🙏
