St. Eligius – Exchanging Your Worries for Faith

When facing difficult situations, we humans are built with the survival instinct of fight or flight.

Most times when something makes us anxious or stressed, we tend to procrastinate in a bid to avoid the unpleasantness.

Of course, this isn’t the best solution and tends to leave us with even greater stress in the future.

What we don’t realize is that God is calling upon us not to give in to our impulses and instead trust in Him to

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

– Philippians 4:6-8

Saint Eligius wants us to know that God is calling on us to trade in our anxiety, sorrows and sufferings for love & graces. He is kind and compassionate when ever we lift up our pain to Him.

In order to profit in life and be successful in what we do, we have the option to exercise our unbreakable bond with the Heavenly Father in trying times instead of simply giving in to our instinct to flee or procrastinate.

When we turn to Him in prayer, the stress from our problems will not seem as immense and it shall be exchanged with faith, confidence and healing.

Navigate the Heavenly Exchange

Whenever we take to prayer and call upon God, we are in fact making an exchange.

God actually wants us to turn to Him and to lift up all of our sorrows that He might strengthen us and give us the grace to overcome all things in our life. To be connected to His kingdom, we need to build a strong relationship with Christ.

We are called upon to surrender our lives to Christ for us to enjoy unlimited blessings in our lives. With the angels and saints being key players in the heavenly exchange market, we are certain that we will only get gains when the blessings start to be effective in our lives.

The best thing about the heavenly exchange is that you are not restricted in terms of the amount or the time when it comes to withdrawing your blessings.

God only requires you to trust that his word is true and act towards it. When we walk in the ways that God thought us, the multitude of gains that we accrue shall be received not only on our time on earth, but also when we are reunited in His kingdom.

Growing Your Equity

Many people see faith as something that you have at any point in time, but the truth is that our faith in God is our most important long-term asset.

It is not something that happens overnight, but through our daily actions that we grow closer to God.

By growing our faith in God we are ensured that our accounts do not run thin and that we are in a strong position to withstand any downturns in life.

Make small contributions to accumulate your faith every day, such as spending time in prayer and giving thanks to God for all the good things that we have experienced.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you

– Matthew 17:20

There is no problem too big that God cannot handle. Our faith that we carry shall extinguish the stress and anxiety from all our problems and give us the confidence to succeed.

Despite the trials you will experience, do not allow them to wear your faith out because problems are not set to end on a particular date. Holding your faith even at such moments will have you receive the greatest gift God has kept for you- eternal life.

Avoid having doubts which will let go of the faith you have in your creator. Be certain that all the things you have held faith on will be accomplished because God is good at fulfilling the promises he has made to you.

The Highest Yield

What greater investment can we have then to take heart in the Lord in the most trying of times.

Most of us don’t realized how fortunate we are that we have a loving and caring God who will back us up in our physical, emotional, health and financial struggles.

The more you grow your faith in him, the more he will maximize his blessings unto you. It is better let God take charge of our lives than to try to face all the problems of the world on our own accord.

Do not forget to say thanks when you reap from your harvest of abundance. Cling unto God for he is faithful during your trials and when you delight in him, he will give you the desires of your heart.

Prayer to Saint Eligius

“Dear Saint Eligius, I am thankful for instilling information in me on how I can trade faith with my worries.

When I cannot hold the position of my faith in my creator, I plead that you may give me the strength to persist on.

Help me with ways on how I can maximize my faith in the Lord and learn on how I can manage to budget my life to grow financially, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Let me always be remind that God is with me in all that I do.”

Amen
